Race throughout the year to earn points and claim the club championship title

About

Our Club Champs is a way of encouraging Club members to take part in local running events of varying distances - with a hint of competition. Scores are added up through the year and awards are presented at our Annual Awards Evening in January.

Along the way, we will be trying to encourage lift sharing, group photos before each event, and hanging around a bit afterwards if we can, especially after parkruns, to encourage us to support and get to know each other, and celebrate our achievements irrespective of pace! We will also provide some updates of standings throughout the year. We do the Maths (well, Louise W does!) you just have to run!

Key Points

There are 14 different races/parkruns throughout the year
Run as many of these as you want
The first Harrier (male and female) in each race will get 50 points, 2nd 49, 3rd 48 and so on
Your best SIX scores will then be the ones to count at the end of the year
The male and female with the highest overall score will win the Championship
PLUS every member that takes part in any 6 of the races (other than the winners) will be entered into a prize draw - and there will be a lucky male and female prizewinner!
